About the Felicity Solar IVPS2512 2kW Single-Phase Inverter / Charger

The Felicity Solar IVPS2512 is a 2 kW single-phase inverter/charger built around a single 12 V battery bank: it works from 10.5 V to 15.75 V, starts at 11.5 V, charges at up to 40 A with a 14.4 V boost and a 13.6 V float, and transfers between utility and battery in 15 ms. On the utility side it accepts 90 V to 280 V at 50/60 Hz, sinusoidal from utility or generator, and disconnects at 90 V; in line mode the output follows the input waveform at better than 95% efficiency, while conversion peaks at 90% and output regulation stays within 5%. Backup output is rated 2 kW, with twice rated power for 5 s. Protection covers over charge, over discharge, overload, output short circuit and over temperature, with a 30 A output overcurrent limit and air switch protection. At 21 kg net and 24.4 kg gross, this low-frequency, transformer-based build ships in a 552 x 408 x 290 mm carton. We are an authorised Felicity Solar distributor and supply the IVPS2512 from our own stock.

Frequently Asked Questions

What battery bank does the Felicity Solar IVPS2512 need?

12 V nominal, through a single battery input. The IVPS2512 works between 10.5 V and 15.75 V, starts up at 11.5 V, and accepts AGM, flooded, Li-Ion and self-defined battery types.

How fast does the IVPS2512 charge a 12 V bank?

40 A maximum charge current. Charging boosts to 14.4 V, floats at 13.6 V and is capped at 16 V, taken from a 90-280 V supply at 50/60 Hz that may be utility or generator.

How much does the IVPS2512 weigh and what does it ship in?

21 kg net and 24.4 kg gross, in a 552 x 408 x 290 mm carton. That mass follows from a low-frequency, transformer-based topology, air cooled, rated IP21 and covered by a 2 Years warranty.

Can several IVPS2512 units run in parallel?

Up to 6 units. Each carries an RS485 BMS link and an RS232 port, an LCD and LED display, 30 A output overcurrent protection, air switch overload protection and a 0-40 °C operating range.
