Choosing equipment for Riyadh
Riyadh sits inland on the Najd plateau — dry, dusty, and hot for months at a stretch. For a system built around a battery rather than around the grid, that changes two practical things: where the equipment is allowed to live, and how the bank behaves in the middle of a Najd summer.
The rows that decide it
Read the enclosure rating before you read anything else. Several inverter-chargers and controllers in this range are rated IP21 or IP31, and those are indoor ratings — a ventilated utility room is part of the specification, not something to sort out later. Then read the battery’s charging temperature range, which is narrower than its discharging one on almost every model.

- Felicity Solar AI100-8048 8000W Inverter / ChargerAn 8000VA pure sine wave inverter and charger for a 48VDC bank, reaching 93% peak efficiency with 150A of solar charging across a 90V-450V MPPT window.
- Felicity Solar IVBM10048P1G1 10kW Single-Phase Off-Grid Solar InverterThe Felicity Solar IVBM10048P1G1 is a 10 kW (10 kVA) single-phase off-grid solar inverter delivering 230 V pure sine wave at up to 46 A from a 48 V battery bank. Its built-in MPPT controller takes 5.5 kW + 5.5 kW of PV and charges at up to 200 A.
- Felicity Solar IVBM8048P1G1 8kW Single-Phase Off-Grid Solar InverterThe Felicity Solar IVBM8048P1G1 is an 8 kW single-phase off-grid inverter running on a 48 V battery bank, rated 8 kW / 8 kVA at 230 V with 40 A maximum output current. Peak efficiency is 94.5%, above 95% in line mode.
- Felicity Solar IVCM2012P1G2 2kW Single-Phase Off-Grid Solar InverterA single-phase 2 kVA / 2 kW inverter-charger built around a 12 V bank: 0.8 kW of PV inside a 30-90 V MPPT window, 120 A of charge current and 165 A of maximum discharge, in a 6.5 kg wall-mounted body.
- Felicity Solar IVCM3224P1G2 3.2kW Single-Phase Off-Grid Solar InverterA single-phase 24 V inverter, the IVCM3224P1G2 pairs a 3.2 kVA / 3.2 kW rating with a 3.2 kW backup output, a 1.6 kW PV input capped at 105 V, and 28.2 V boost / 27 V float charging for AGM, Flooded, Li-Ion and self-defined banks.
Questions buyers here ask
Can I mount the inverter in the garage or does it need a room?
It depends on the ingress rating printed on that model’s page, and the range is not uniform: some units are IP65 and some are IP21 or IP31, which are indoor ratings. An indoor-rated unit needs a dry, ventilated space — a garage qualifies only if it is genuinely both.
Will the battery still charge properly in summer?
Every battery page prints a charging temperature range and a separate discharging range, and the charging window is the tighter of the two. Site the bank inside that window — shaded, ventilated, off a hot wall — and the figure on the page is the one you get.
Do you sell to installers in quantity?
From one piece to five hundred, at trade pricing from pallet quantity, out of the same stock a single unit ships from.
