About the Felicity Solar IVPS5048 4kW Single-Phase Inverter / Charger

The Felicity Solar IVPS5048 is a single-phase off-grid inverter-charger rated 4 kW of real power and 5 kVA apparent, built around a 48 V battery bank. It delivers a pure sine wave 220 V output at 50/60 Hz and recharges at up to 50 A from the grid or a generator. A low-frequency, transformer-based design carries twice its rated power for 5 seconds and is motor-start capable, so pumps, compressors and workshop tools start without nuisance tripping. The AC input accepts 90-280 V in appliance mode and 170-280 V in UPS mode, with pass-through up to 63 A; pass-through is not available without a battery connected. The charger handles AGM, flooded, lithium-ion and self-defined profiles on a three-stage boost CC, boost CV and float algorithm, bulk at 57.6 V and float at 54.4 V, with RS485 BMS communication, an RS232 port and an LCD with LED indicators. Maximum efficiency is 90% and line-mode efficiency exceeds 95%, and up to 6 units can run in parallel.
