What it means
GFCI over Fault — Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (leakage current) over-protection.
Cause: Leakage (residual) current to ground exceeded the GFCI protection limit. The most common causes are moisture in PV connectors or damaged cable insulation creating a current path to ground.
How to fix it
- Power down the inverter, wait 5 minutes for capacitors to discharge, then restart.
- If the fault recurs immediately or repeatedly, record the exact code and contact your installer or the manufacturer's service line.
